MIEDA acts as a Think Tank and provides necessary inputs to the State and Central Governments, Corporate, Banks, Financial Institutions and Government Agencies to improve the facilities towards industrial and economic growth of the State and Nation.

MIEDA co-ordinates with government departments and agencies to adopt investor friendly policies, create excellent infrastructure and develop skilled and productive human resource base to attract investments from India and abroad for developmental activities.

MIEDA focuses and reviews the growth plan and the needs for developmental activities in various sectors. Even though on one hand Maharashtra is developing industries and achieving remarkable economic growth, on the other, there are many areas which require careful attention - to eliminate projects delays, to revive sick units, effective water management, improved power supply, skill development amongst young generation, entrepreneurial education, district level industrialisation and reducing the political and bureaucratic interference in industry and trade to enhance economic growth.
